Why Himaya?

Himaya \ hi·ma·ya \

Protection, Safeguarding, Security

In Arabic, Himaya means protection and defense — a word rooted in the principle of safeguarding what matters most.

This word perfectly reflects our mission: to protect your data, your compliance, and your sovereignty in an increasingly complex, cloud-native world.

At its core, Himaya is built on the belief that true security is not just about technical controls but about empowering organizations to maintain full ownership and control over their most valuable asset — their data. We exist to make what seems like an impossible task — governing and securing data across hundreds of cloud platforms, regions, and compliance laws — simple, automated, and achievable.

The magic ingredient? Every line of code, every AI model, and every person behind Himaya is driven by one purpose: to give you the power to protect your data, on your terms, anywhere in the world.

Himaya isn’t just a name. It’s a promise. A promise of visibility, compliance, sovereignty, and peace of mind — in every cloud, every file, every jurisdiction.
